FOUND: Amber Rose’s HOT shoes!!

OMG, I love WK! She found the shoes that I mentioned a few days ago.

The are Bottega Veneta Tea Storm Cuir and they cost a whooping $950!!! I love these shoes! They have a  4.5 inch heel (and we know I have a 4 inches or better rule) and a .6 inch platform.  Can I get a  napkin to wipe the drool?

Now, being that they cost well over a months rent, can someone point me in the direction of a Steve Madden/Jessica Simpson/somebody knock off??

Hot Shoes! Where can they be found?

For a moment, let’s ignore this hideous outfit that looks like it came from Baby Gap and admire the wonderfulness of these shoes.  I need more information on them, more precisely where can I find them and how many rent payments will they set me back.  Or hell, even if someone knows of a cheaper version, they are MINE! They will be so hot on my Caribbean vacation in May.  They are freaking HAUTE!!! I love the details on the heel, I have a pair of brown suede summer shoes that have a heel like that, and I love that little hidden detail with the gold stitched in there. But these, the leather and the straps are making my  heart melt.  Info please!

For those who don’t know who this is, this is Amber Rose-supposedly Kanye’s new chick.  Now this kind of makes sense on her fashion choices, because Kanye is highly into being different, which is admirable, but there is a fine line between different & stylish and this here. This here is just wrong.  It’s too much: the scarf, the elastic waist shorts, the mini tee… Maybe the mini tee with some form fitting pants would have worked for me. Or the shorts with a shirt that covered her belly. I guess for me, there is just too much skin! There have been all sorts of internet rumors about her: she’s a dyke, a stripper, and who knows what else.  I don’t care.  But every time someone says the rumor I think of the lyrics to Stronger:

“Heard they’d do anything for a Klondike
Well I’d do anything for a blonde dyke
And she’ll do anything for the limelight
And we’ll do anything when the times right.  “

Well if any of the rumors are true… here you have it!  LOL.  I don’t care. I love Kanye’s music and don’t mind his arrogance.  I mean he does his thing in music and thats what matters.  Graduation was my least favorite cd of his, but it doesn’t mean I think its a bad cd, it just wasn’t his best work.  But the latest one, 808s & Heartbreak. Well, that goes hard in my Ipod.  Love it! He’s some real stuff despite the autotone, which I hate.  You can’t deny the power behind the lyrics….

Here’s Stronger, just because I like it and I referenced it!

What in the Shoe hell??

It’s been awhile since I had a shoe posting, so I’m sorry I can’t report on something cuter.  I was browsing the Macy’s website doing some E-window shopping since I put myself on  a strict shoe diet, no more new shoes until spring at least (or my tax refund whichever comes first), and I came across these Via Spiga Adelle Booties.  I find these boots to be atrocious! First off they have that weird shiny patent-y coat that makes them look like several different colors, almost like you’re looking at the colors in a puddle of water.  That is strike one.  Next they added the gold toe cap and heel cup, but I can’t figure out why. They do nothing for these shoes.  I don’t know what offends me more, the sheer fugliness of these shoes or that I’ve found reviews of people online saying how cute they are.  These are an eyesore!I like patent leather on some shoes. In fact, lately (my newest addition) are the BCBGirls Jo Boot, and the whole bottom part is black patent leather. These are shoes that highlight when patent leather goes wrong!

But wait, they cost $ 275!! @#$!@@$#$ (that’s me cursing!) What in shoe hell?? I have seen better shoes at the Family Dollar! I will say that they might be super wearable, but the looking at them in these colors are a pain.  I found a black pair at Endless.com and those look fairly decent for simple booties, I could see them being worn with a cute sweater dress or some skinny jeans and a nice top.  However,  these colors need to be banned.   BANNED I tell you!

Shoes: Carlos Santana Ingenue

It’s been a few weeks since I’ve highlighted a pair of shoes that have caught my eye. So during my yet to be blogged about horrible experience in the Macy’s shoe department I saw these beautiful Carlos Santana boots across the room. I didn’t try them on because window shopping isn’t really my thing and they are nearly TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS!! I might try to catch them on a going out of season sale in a few months. But either way, these are the Ingenue. The ones pictured here are brown suede with a little leather seaming detail. Gorgeous! They have this cute little metallic shiny thing at the top too, I don’t know the function of it, but I like it. The heel is about 4 inches, which is a height I love! They also come in a black boot with red detailing. And a camel colored boot which is a lighter brown with an alligator looking embellishment.

I don’t know what it is, but all the boots I’ve been attracted to lately have been brown, even though I would like a new pair of black boots. I did try some black boots on the other day at the evil store known as Bakers, but they didn’t give the look I was going for, and they were too expensive for shoes I know are poorly made. Even these boots, I was more attracted to the brown, nothing against the black, but for me they just look better in brown. One day, hopefully soon, I will fulfill my goals of having rain boots AND black boots, and my shoedrobe will be complete. Yes, a shoedrobe, similar to a wardrobe!

BCBGirls Disaster!

So, today I was browing in the Macy’s shoe department (which was a horrible experience I will detail at a later time) and I came across these shoes.  I sometimes search the clearance racks for various items, sometimes out of season shoes, sometimes just shoes I liked that are now cheaper.  I like to apply various Macy’s coupons to these already discounted prices.  Ok, so enough background.  Take a look at these!! The BCBGirls Lotun.

Horrible abominations of shoes… All these features should not be in one shoes, its just morally wrong! Zipper Mary Jane.. could have worked if solo.  That is how the shoe caught my eye.  I, lately, have had a thing for the Mary Jane variation, and love a good twist.  A little bit of hutzpah (idk if thats the right usage or spelling but I like it so it stays) is always welcome in a good show.  But once I got this shoe into my had, I saw it had this huge chunky heel.  I love a good “sturdy” heel as my friend said, but this was just too much for this shoe.  Its round! Who the hell wants a round chunky heel? Where is the style in that.  And then.. there is this silver ring around it.  How does that work with your star feature – the zipper Mary Jane? How? I am so offended. Sorry Sweet shoe.. .so sorry.  Almost but not quite.  who is the designer over there? I’d love to hear their inspiration for these, because that is the only way to defend this…

Update: Retail Therapy

This quote only has to do with this post in the sense that I write it with utter happiness. It’s not philospical or anything like that. Just happy to update you guys! On with the show!

So, I posted these boots here. They are the Nine West Galen boot. I ordered them on Sunday and they arrived at my job on Tuesday. Super fast. So I anxiously awaited getting home to try them on, I was so excited. I opened them and showed them off because they were so FAB. After work however, I couldn’t go straight home and indulge. I met with a friend for dinner then went shopping for my Halloween costume (which is super cute and sexy). So after this long day of building anticipation I go home and my roommate is there. My roommate is a first hand witness of my shoe addiction. He’s watching his show, Fringe, and I’m all chipper and excited with my news. So finally I try them on. At first I was worried because they seemed a little narrow trying to get them on, since they have no zipper you have to maneuver your foot in there. I almost broke down, but after a few tugs they went on, OVER MY calves. The slouch boots were actually slouchy, in the right places. I was so excited. This is only after one boot. So I dig out the paper in the other boot and slide that one on with more more ease. So, there I am in my black work clothes with my pants jacked up, prancing in my new boots. I didn’t want to take them off. They weren’t tight in any place. I was literally in shoe heaven. Add that to my excitement about my Halloween costume and I had an adrenaline rush. Happiness! Or as a friend would say “Swagger!” LOL

Retail Therapy

My latest purchase.  I know I need some new black boots, but these boots looked so much better in the brown, so i had to go with that.  I was emailed a coupon for family & friends weekend with NineWest so I absolutely had to take advantage of it.  And I could use some retail therapy.  I actually felt some of my melancholy lift after i clicked the submit order button, ha ha.  So, let’s introduce my new friend.  These are the Nine West Galen, from their “Boutique 9″ collection.  I can’t wait to rock these with a cute skirt or even some jeans. I love the wood heel and the buckle detail.  They are pure heaven.   I didn’t get the measurements on the calf circumference, but they are supposed to be slouchy, so that buys me some room.  But I did look at other NineWest boots, like the ELEGY previously mentioned and they were measured to be bigger than my log calves. So we’ll see.  They might be slouchy on everyone else but they’ll be tight on me.  No one will really  notice, or at least I hope not.  I don’t own many pairs of NineWest shoes, but I do see some styles there that are nice.  I used to go browse the outlet but never actually bought any.  Or at least that I can remember.  But I’m giving them a go.  Unlike Bakers who’ve proved to not be a solid investment in footwear.  I’m just extremely happy these were on discount, I paid around 150 online and got free shipping.  yay!

The Heel Story

Shoes! Shoes! and More Shoes! Ok.. So I had heard about the DSquared fashion show where the models took off their shoes because the heels were ridiculously high and I laughed because I thought of how on America’s Next Top Model Tyra Banks is always talking about the walk and gives the girls the craziest walking contest. Sometimes in 5 inch heels with a 2 inch platform a size too small, so I guess Dan & Dan watched those episodes. Anyshoe, at that same fashion show the lightning bolt heel made its debut. And I love it!! Absolutely FAB! I would so rock these if they were more in my price range! The detailing is just how I like it. A little bit of Wow to surprise people.

So keeping up with these surprisingly different heel’s, I saw that Madonna wore these shoes to the premiere of “Filth & Wisdom” for which she is an executive producer. Now, I’m all for creative expression, but handguns for heels? Wow. Is she telling us she’s a member of NRA? I just don’t get this. They look too bulky for my taste and just wrong. the shoe itself isn’t really that flattering. And they are Chanel! CHANEL! Let me say it again like Biden, CHANEL! I don’t like the front, with the open toe or the platform. And I love peep toe, LOVE IT! But this is just all wrong. Sorry Madonna.

Disaster Strikes!

W hen bad things happen to shoes its never a pretty sight. So, I’m boot shopping today online because my cheap ass Bakers boots ( I Know right!) broke-AGAIN! And rather than invest more money into a sinking ship I decided to do some boot shopping. And here I was this morning thinking of how I have a nice amount of winter shoes. I was wrong. Anyway, black boots are essential to a winter wardrobe, so I had to replace mine with the quickness. On my search I found this disaster. OMG. I almost cried because this is just shoe torture! Brand = J.Shoes, Motto: Do the Jay Walk. LOL. Model name TARA. Do the Jay Walk is a cute slogan/motto, but these shoes are just an abomination. And they have the nerve to be discounted at $126! So, I did a search for their shoes, and they are all FUGLY! Just straight up WRONG! Some things should never be done to shoes. Damn.. I’m just sad now!

Flashback: Balenciaga Lego Shoes

This shoe made its debut at the Balenciaga Fall/Spring fashion week 2007. I got the idea to feature a “flashback” shoe from talking to my bestest when I told her I was doing shoe research for my blog, LOL. I don’t know the official name of this show, so we’ll just say the LEGO shoe. Worn here with this ugly grey sock, they are just wrong, wrong, WRONG! Why would you wear this gorgeous shoe with with track pants and sweat socks? The were worn in a much better fashion by Beyonce at the American Music Awards a few months ago. Her jeans are awesome, the jacket tight, and she wore the shoes perfectly. It’s all in the detailing, and she shows how a shoe can really pull an outfit together. It doesn’t matter if I’m a part-time Beyonce groupie or not, she wore them well (see below). Yes I like Beyonce when she’s not trying too hard and she’s really singing and not half rapping trying to be “pop”. Anyshooe, even Kanye West thinks these shoes are hot and he can be somewhat of a Diva, LOL.

This shoe has recently been replicated in the Bakers Shoes catalog and by Steve Madden. I know that I can’t afford some Balenciaga’s any time soon, but they are a dream that I won’t sell short by getting a knockoff. Sometimes its just better to have the real thing, even if its only in a fantasy. They feature all the primary colors! Do you know how cool primary colors are? Do you know how cool legos are/were. Do kids still play with legos? And they even have the little Lego men who you put in the planes or at the tops of the buildings. I used to play with my cousins legos all the time. I wasn’t super creative, but I had fun building forts and downs from the different blocks. Those were the good old days of toys. Now if it isn’t violent or based on a movie or television show it doesn’t matter.

A Step Up

Dear Coco,

I’d like to first commend you for not showing us you’re camel this time. I am thoroughly impressed with your efforts to look classier and not trashier. I know it hurt. These baby steps you’re taking are wonderful. One day, hopefully soon, we can achieve the beauty and glamor that are necessary for a celebrity wife. Wait, is Ice-T a real celebrity still? Now, let’s proceed. I am loving your shoes. they work with this dress. Although the dress is skin tight and probably made of lycra and spandex and came from your local Easy Pickings it is better than bright pink pants. Coupled with these WONDERFUL shoes, you look a little….trampish I must say.But not in a sleezy hotel kinda way like before. This time you’re in more of a I like my clothes too small kinda way. I will gladly take these shoes off your hands, or even settle for a duplicate pair to help assist in your complete transformation. I love the contrast in colors and the little details. They would look so great on my perfect size 8 feet. Share?

OH, who the hell am I kidding I’d kill for a body like yours. But I’d dress it soooo differently, less cleavage. When they are THAT huge, you don’t have to try so hard my dearest CoCo. They will show themselves. I am glad you covered up for this premiere, Nights in Rodanthe isn’t the kind of movie I know you’re used to watching. You’re usual outfits are more suited for Naught Girls at Home premieres. Now Richard Gere can live to make another sappy romance movie I’ll probably never watch! Congrats!!!

P.S. don’t forget to break me off with those shoes!

An Old Friend

When you find a good pair of shoes you should love them.  Care for them.  In fact, you should buy two pair! LOL.  I had this pair last spring and I loved them so much that I wore them out. I mean wore them OUT! I tried to get the nice suede material cleaned, but it wasn’t the same.  So, I did what any shoe lover would do-bought a new pair.   This is why I love the internet, because I would have had to search store after store after store after warehouse to try to find these shoes, let alone in my size since they were from last season. I had to first find out the shoe name, because I didn’t even know it. I just knew the brand, so I searched and searched. Then I searched for them in the desired color. I finally found them AND they were cheap, which they should have been since they were last seasons shoes.  I got them for a whooping $25.34 and then 6.00 for shipping. Which I consider a great deal since they were much more than that before I wore them out, LOL. This is the Tribeca Prime Suspect shoe and he is being re-introduced into my closet with his other “friends.” In the past I might not have been so resourceful, I would have searched and searched for a comprable shoe, but no more.  And why should I? I like new shoes as much as the next girl (probably more) but I also love the shoes that I have.  And as I get older, I am definitely pickier and choosier with the shoes I buy.  And I like them so much more for that, which is why I invest in keeping them.  Getting those little things on the bottom replaced or repairing a scuff.  It’s worth it, trust me.

Essential Boot

Wellington Boots.  I used to hate these boots.  They came out of nowhere and then they  were everywhere in the blink of an eye.  But now, after so many bouts with cold wet feet, I see the essentialness of them and have said I can’t wait to find myself a pair.  I can’t believe I made such a drastic turn around, the next thing you know I’ll be saying how the UGG boot is cool and cute (someone stop me if i ever get there, but you get my drift). Each and every time I find a cute pair of t hese boots, they don’t fit around the logs I am forced to call calves.  And these are a shoe/boot that you can be super creative and cutesy with.  No one is going to object to you having butterflies and hears on your cute  plastic rain boot, but if you had a coat with all that, you might be ridiculed.  I am desperate to find some to fit me with fall fast approaching and we all know that fall equals rain.  Winter also equals rain.  I will not stand for wet pants legs anymore.  Take a stand for dry pant legs all around and help me find these boots with a wide calf!!! It is essential that it fit loosely over the  calf because your jeans and pants should tuck into the boot, not drape over them.

An introduction is necessary

I don’t know if everyone knows, but I have an addiction:to shoes.  Preferably, heels that are 4inches or better.  Three and a half is nice, but four is wonderful.  Anyway, once upon a time in a land I call “internet heaven” I purchased a pair of shoes from Steve Madden online.  Ever since then they email me with new arrivals and clearance sales and the likes.  So when I checked the email today, I saw that they have these shoes available for pre-order.  I introduce you to SLASSSH.  At first I was like wtf, and open toe boot. but the more I looked at them I saw the potential – Me, in a skirt showing a little leg, hair blowing in the wind.  Oh yes, it was magic.  OH, and I love the platform look in my heels, its a necessity.  Makes for much more comfortable shoe wear.  I also love a low boot because I have HUGE calves, so it is hard to find boots that will fit over the logs I call legs.  Damn me for having perfectly sized feet, LOL!!! Now, I don’t believe in paying full price for anything.  So I will NOT be pre-ordering anything.  I will wait and see if they get sent to Macys and take advantage of my nice coupons or when Steve email’s me some new coupons for 10-20% off.  I love SLASSSH but I love my sisters Sale and Clearance even more.  So guys, these are on my wish list along with a few other choice shoes.
